I am the writer, producer, and director of this feature film.
I have always had an interest in noir suspense thrillers. I am thrilled that we can present our film project on this site ... and the possibility that
backers around the world will be able to participate in making this dream ... a reality.
Tango Rendezvous is a romantic noir thriller about a lone assassin who returns to Buenos Aires to eliminate the head of a corrupt corporation
but takes a final detour when he meets and falls in love with the businessman’s mistress in a night club called Tango Rendezvous … where no
one can be trusted.
We have traveled to Buenos Aires to scout locations. We met with actors, talent agencies and production companies. Argentina is known for
having a very well-established film infrastructure as well as their talented cast and crews. And, there is a currently a four to one exchange rate
which provides a bigger bang for the dollar.
Once we are funded, we will travel to Argentina and begin our preproduction and production schedule.

We have spoken to several distributors. They have all expressed interest in the film project. They have asked us to contact them once we are
funded and we can show them a rough cut of the film. We plan on having a screening for them.
We have contacted a few US talent agencies. They are also interested in being involved in the film project. If we our able to raise our projected
budget, then we can cast a couple of American stars.

Will you making the film in English?
Yes. All of the actors from Latin America are fully bilingual.
Have you thought about having an English and Spanish version?
Yes. We are interested in shooting a film simultaneously in both English and Spanish and release both versions in domestic and international
markets. Four or five takes in English. Then, four or five takes in Spanish. All of the actors are looking forward to this challenge.
Have you thought about shooting the film in the US?
Yes, but after making several trips to various locations in Argentina, meeting with the talented casts and crews, the fact that the story and the
tango takes place in Argentina, and that the current exchange rate there is four to one ... it makes sense both financially and logistically ... to
shoot the entire film on location in Argentina.
Are there are any tax incentives in Argentina?
Not at the present time, although they are working towards this in the near future.
Why are your interested in showing tango in the film?
story that is common to us all. Against that backdrop of a celebration of an ever-popular dance genre, Tango Rendezvous is intended to offer all
of its audiences a portrait of a man who tries to complete his assignment while falling in love with a mysterious woman who is the mistress of
The dance originated in lower-class districts of Buenos Aires. The music derived from the fusion of various forms of music from Europe. The
word Tango seems to have first been used in connection with the dance in the 1890s. Initially it was just one of the many dances, but it soon
became popular throughout society, as theaters and street barrel organs spread it from the suburbs to the working-class slums, which were
packed with hundreds of thousands of European immigrants, primarily Italians, Spanish, and French. In the early years of the twentieth century,
dancers and orchestras from Buenos Aires travelled to Europe, and the first European tango craze took place in Paris, soon followed by
London, Berlin, and other capitals. Towards the end of 1913 it hit New York in the USA, and Finland.
In Argentina, the onset in 1929 of the Great Depression, and restrictions introduced after the overthrow of the government in 1930 caused Tango
to decline. Its fortunes were reversed as tango again became widely fashionable and a matter of national pride under the government of Juan
Peron. Tango declined again in the 1950s with economic depression. The dance lived on in smaller venues until its revival in 1983 following
the opening in Paris of the show Tango Argentino. This show made a revolution worldwide, and people everywhere started taking tango
lessons. Many shows have toured around the world and now Tango is one of the most popular dances in the world.
What format will you be shooting in?
